How do you feel about Fake fans? ” people jumping on the bandwagon”
In my personal opinion I don’t believe in the concept of “fake fans” If you are a fan of something no matter how you became a fan then you are a fan. Even if you only like a band per say because of one song, you are still considered a fan in my books.
What I don’t like is ignorance, people who act like they’re better because they’ve been a fan for longer or because they know more then someone else. Everyone has to start somewhere, fan bases build and new fans come into those groups from all sorts of ways, embrace them, treat them with respect and share your knowledge with them. Don’t act all high and mighty because you were a fan first. Hell I’ve been a fan of many groups since I was very young due to my parents but I don’t act like I own every right to the groups or the music or like I’m higher then anyone else.
In fact every time someone tells me they are a new fan I welcome them with open arms, I would rather spread Music or movies or actors I love to people so they know them and appreciate them the way I and many other do, then snub them just because they might have heard about it from a main stream source. ( For example Rocky horror which was on Glee causing streams of new fans)
So all in all I don’t have a problem with it, fans come in all forms from all over the world in many different ways. And they all have one thing in common the love of who they are a fan of. So I say embrace it, love one another, enjoy whatever it is you’re a fan of.
